It’s hard to walk around without passing a Sidewalk cafe in Hanoi and even harder to decide which one to try. Aloha is near the place I’m staying so it was an easy choice. After trying their salted cream coffee though, it’s going to be hard to try a different cafe. On a whim I ordered it and this was my first of its kind. It’s such a complex combination that half caffeine kick and half after dinner dessert. The salt. The cream. The coffee. I had to come see if they were a one hit wonder. Nope. Their egg coffee is amazing too. There was a subtle orange flavor and the bitterness of the coffee comes out with the sweet eggy cream. I’m not an expert but my tongue definitely likes these flavors. Lastly I tried their peach lemongrass tea. It was balanced, refreshing and light. Chinks of canned peach with a calimasi type orange made it a perfect “night cap” after a day of walking around the old quarter. It’s also features a great spot on the street for people watching and the staff is super attentive and nice. They even gave me a free cup of tea on the side which was nice.

Outside seating available and inside as well. The guava juice I ordered was delicious and the service was outstanding. Prices were much more affordable and overall cheaper than other options around ❤️

Best local gem coffee shop! Ordered a egg coffee first and it was the best egg coffee I've tried in Hanoi. It came with a note of orange in the egg coffee. Full of layers in flavours, eggy, slight sweetness of cream and condensed milk, slight bitterness of the robusta coffee, depth of chocolate and lastly a hint of orange. It was amazing!! Ordered a salt cream coffee to see how it is. It was delicious! The coffee was perfectly balanced between bitter, sweet, creamy and salty. Sea salt and very little chocolate powder was used in the cream which brought the depth of the coffee to the next level. @snob.drink

Best coffee so far - tried the black coffee, salted cream coffee and egg coffee. Egg coffee was infused with orange, very special. Highly recommended 👍 Tasty and creamy coffee and good atmosphere.
